Binance Charity, the charitable arm of the leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has announced the Binance Charity Scholar Program (BCSP) to provide 3065 students with scholarships who are eager to pursue a Web3 career in 2023. The program will offer free Web3 education and training classes that will allow technology and software students to continually improve without being required of any unnecessary financial barriers.
82,000 Applications Express Interest in BCSP
According to a blog post published on January 20, approximately 82,000 applications expressed interest in joining the upcoming BCSP cohort, amounting to an admission rate of roughly 37%. The University of Nicosia in Cyprus, the University of Western Australia, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Germany, and the technology cluster Utiva in Nigeria are just a few of the educational partners taking part.
Binance Academy to Support Binance Charity
Binance Academy, the non-profit blockchain education platform of Binance, will provide cooperation and support to Binance Charity. The majority of the more than $3.5 million raised by Binance Charity in 2022 came in the form of BUSD, which helped fund more than 290,000 hours of Web3 education and training programs.
The Program's Popularity is Exploding
Helen Hai, the CEO of Binance Charity, claimed that the program's popularity is exploding. She said, “We’re seeing interest from a diverse range of people, including a great ratio of women. With so many more education initiatives with amazing partners in the pipeline, we’ve never been more excited to build a more inclusive Web3 world.”
Binance and MasterClass Offer Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Course
Notably, on December 8 last year, Binance and MasterClass teamed up to offer a course on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Binance and Coinbase collaborated to create the class in an effort to improve the ecosystem and prevent new users from suffering financial losses.
